1. Acceptance
By using LeaseSimple.ca (the “Service”) you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
2. What LeaseSimple is — and isn’t
LeaseSimple provides general information and tools to help landlords and tenants in British Columbia prepare tenancy paperwork (such as the RTB-1 agreement). It is not legal advice, and using it does not create a lawyer–client relationship. Generated documents are drafts based on the information you enter — review them, and the current rules of the BC Residential Tenancy Branch, before signing or relying on them.
3. Your account
Sign-in is passwordless. Keep access to your email secure, since anyone with it can access your account. You’re responsible for activity under your account.
4. Your information
You’re responsible for the accuracy of the details you enter and for ensuring your use of any document complies with the law. Only invite people you intend to enter a tenancy with, and only share information you’re entitled to share.
5. Acceptable use
Don’t misuse the Service: no unlawful, fraudulent, infringing, or abusive activity, no attempts to break security or access others’ data, and no use that disrupts the Service.
6. No warranty
The Service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We don’t guarantee that documents are complete, current, or suitable for your situation, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, LeaseSimple is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for outcomes arising from documents you generate, sign, or rely on. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
8. Changes & termination
We may update the Service or these Terms; material changes will be noted by updating the date above. We may suspend or end access for misuse. You can stop using the Service anytime.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada.
